The LFC Boot Room Net grew out of a need to pull together the various 'boot room' web sites that Derek Dohren set up in the late 1990s and early 2000s. The first of these, shankly.com, was established in the summer of 1997. Borne out of a dearth of information on the web at that time relating to Shanks, the site has become the definitive internet resource of football's greatest.

In the summer of 2001 bobpaisley.com came online, however, once those two sites were up and running it became clear that a certain amount of duplicated material (photos, links, editorial ramblings etc) was being maintained.

For that reason the site you are on now, the LFC Boot Room Net was created as a central site that could be used as a portal for visiting the Shankly and Paisley sites and could also be used to publish more up to date stuff relating to modern day LFC.

A natural extension of this set up was the creation of the three remaining Boot Room sites - joefagan.com, ronniemoran.com early in 2002 and royevans.net in spring 2003.

Both Ronnie's and Roy's sites feature an exclusive interview by Derek Dohren with their respective subject.
